This KFA Level 3 Diploma in Laban Dance Fitness is an accredited qualification with Active IQ at Level 3, which has been designed to provide accessible and supported learning throughout the duration of the course, and onwards once you have qualified.

Based on Rudolph Laban’s Analysis of Movement Principles, the KFA offers a dynamic course led by experienced tutors who will enable you to develop the confidence to teach adults through a programme of creative and purposeful movement ideas that promote physical fitness and mental well-being The course is ideal for busy people offering a blend of home study on-line followed by practical training days with a strong emphasis on teaching practice that will give you the confidence to start your own class once you have qualified.

Becoming a KFA teacher enables you to inspire more people to get active, and to attend regular exercise, movement and creative dance activities, promoting health and skill related fitness and mental well-being, and developing confidence and self-esteem as they progress.

Once qualified, our programme of continual professional development and our mentoring scheme will enable you to develop your teaching skills and to add further specialisms such as teaching chair based classes and working with apparatus.

KFA welcomes interested participants for the course from all age groups and all walks of life. If you love the opportunity to get up and dance, at a party or indoors with some music playing, or if you have already experienced the enjoyment of an exercise, movement or dance class - and would like to consider gaining a teaching qualification talk to us and find out more.

If you already have another recognised Dance Fitness qualification at Level 2, this Level 3 course will enhance and develop the teaching skills you have already achieved progressing your career towards additional movement disciplines.

If you are reading this and you are already a qualified KFA teacher, this is a real opportunity to pass on the love of what you do to a variety of people. Consider if you have a class member, an experienced mover, a friend, family or a neighbour looking for a new direction in retirement, and/or to experience a new career through teaching which could provide a part-time income?

We would love to talk to you so please get in touch with Joan Wheatley who will direct enquiries to the course team.
